This species comes from the Barisan range in Sumatra where it grows sympatrically with other iconic Nepenthes species such as dubia and lingulata

the single mountain where the species are found to grow sympatrically

It produces excellent hybrids when bred

it is rather exacting in its temperature requirements so we would only recommend this plant for people with solid highland conditions (in particular cool nights)

The hybrid has only been found on Gunung Trusmadi, the single mountain where the species are found to grow sympatrically. Though this is certainly a highland plant in temperature preference, we've found Nepenthes x Trusmadiensis to be more tolerant of temperature fluctuations and a more vigorous grower than either of its parent species.
