Late 19th Century Stoneware Whiskey Jug by Jacob & McCann marine turned legs with paired frontc. 1880s 1890s; Jacob & McCann New Haven, CT Two tone stoneware whiskey jug with a salt glazed body and Albany slip shoulder and neck, complete with an applied loop handle. The front features cobalt blue stenciling reading: "THIS JUG IS THE PROPERTY OF JACOB & MCCANN," "43 45 CONGRESS AVE.," "NEW HAVEN, CONN." The cylindrical lower section bears the textured finish typical of wheel thrown stoneware, while the rich brown glaze above transitions
